Embrace your inner light and let it shine!
Elaina
THIS IS MY STORY.
Hi! I am Elaina Burt and I am a freshman at the University of Alabama majoring in Public Relations on a Pre-Law track. As the founder of my 501c3 non-profit, Charlie's Chance, I have discovered my passion for advocacy and outreach. It is this passion that sparked my journey of self-discovery here at the Capstone and continues to inspire my daily path.
Here on-campus at UA, I am involved in numerous activities. I am a part of the sisterhood of the Nu Beta chapter of Chi Omega sorority, a member of Freshman Forum, and a part of the Honors College...just to name a few. I love this campus and all that the University of Alabama has to offer and I look forward to serving our students with my whole heart! ROLL TIDE!
Through the microphone of several organizations I've been blessed to be a part of, I have had the opportunity to advocate for causes I believe in throughout the entire State of Alabama, including on-campus here at UA. I have partnered with student organizations, educated over 2,800 individuals on Seizure First Aid, founded a fundraising gala, created a network of community media contacts, collaborated with the Governor of Alabama, and raised over $95,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation of Alabama...but my greatest accomplishment is the profound and empowering relationships that have been created along the way. I'm forever thankful!
This is only the beginning of my journey at the University of Alabama. There is such power that comes from a group of open-minded, goal-oriented, passionate individuals uniting for a common goal and my hope is to be surrounded by and immersed in a community filled with these individuals during my time here at the Capstone.
